Therefore, it’s very important to consume foods rich with water, such as green leafy vegetables and red fruits, blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, pomegranates (great sources of polyphenol, antioxidants, and radical scavengers)

» Do not underestimate the precious vitamins contained in fruit and colorful vegetables, like apricots, kiwis and carrots (rich of carotenoids, vitamins A, C, and E, and coenzymes for pro-metabolic processes)

» To guarantee the wellbeing of our bodies, avoiding potential and unpleasant sunburns, it is necessary to consume an adequate intake of protein, to sustain optimal production of collagen and elastin

FIND YOUR EQUILIBRIUM: THE AYURVEDA METHOD

Ayurveda is a Sanskrit term that derives from the word ayus, “life”, and ved, “knowledge”, signifying understanding of life, an antique system of Indian healing practiced for over 5,000 years. This belief system has the goal of preventing sicknesses, healing imbalances, and prolonging lifespan by treating the body, mind, and spirit.

According to the Ayurveda theory, everything is tied to a universe comprised of 5 elements (the panchamahabhuta): heavens, air, fire, water, and earth. The human body is made up of these elements combined with 3 bio energies (the tridosha) Vata, Pitta, and Kapha, of which one is always dominant. In the Ayurvedic doctrine, the diagnosis of the pulse is the main means by which the physiological history of the person is read. Through the pulse, one can perceive with ease the rhythm of Vata, Pitta, and Kapha.

Therefore, to know one’s body better, a consultation with an Ayurveda specialist at Palazzo Fiuggi is fundamental for determining the balance and imbalance within the body, providing recommendations on herbs, diets, lifestyle, and purification programs, as well as breathing techniques and directions for Asana Yoga. The Ayurvedic approach and therapies differ from person to person, according to the imbalances and the positions in specific parts of the body.

A NUTRITIOUS RECIPE FROM HEINZ BECK

At Palazzo Fiuggi, we have a unique 'Food Line' that was designed by three-star Michelin chef, Heinz Beck alongside David della Morte, a specialist in senescence-related diseases, an expert in genetics and the Medical and Scientific Director at Palazzo Fiuggi.

Heinz Beck has used his expertise and honorary degree in Natural Bio Energies to create light and healthy, yet delicious personalized menus using biodynamic, natural ingredients. Unlike other medical retreats, our Food Line is designed using nutrients able to activate cellular pathways linked with antiaging, anti-inflammatory and antioxidant processes, showcasing food as medicine, that aids the body when cooked and served the right way.

"Palazzo Fiuggi is Heaven on Earth! Everything about this place is perfect.

The service is impeccable; everyone from the bellboy to the spa therapist to the Maître D’ to the front desk agent is very nice and always willing to help.

I had various spa treatments and they were all excellent. Palazzo Fiuggi is a well-rounded wellness destination, once you leave your body will be thankful for the treat!

The facilities are very impressive and there is something for everyone. The food is extremely good and healthy. I have been around the world and have eaten in the most exclusive restaurants and the food at Palazzo Fiuggi for me is in the top categories of gastronomy."
