What inspired you to pursue a career in this industry, and how has your perspective as a woman shaped your vision and hospitality approach?
Hospitality has always been a part of my life – it’s not just a career, but my family’s legacy. Growing up, I watched my father lead the Hassler with unwavering passion and determination, and I knew from an early age that I wanted to follow in his footsteps. As a woman, my perspective naturally influences the way I approach hospitality. I focus on creating an environment where every guest feels genuinely at home and every team member feels valued and empowered – because hospitality is not only about luxury, but also about connection and care.
What is your favorite part of working in luxury hospitality, and what keeps you passionate about continuing to evolve your brand and guest experience?
What I love most about luxury hospitality is that no two days are ever the same – every guest brings their own story, and it’s a privilege to play a part in their most cherished memories. What drives my passion is the knowledge that the Hassler represents timeless Roman elegance. The challenge lies in blending our rich heritage with modern luxury, ensuring that we remain personal, authentic, and unforgettable. Evolving our brand means always staying true to who we are, while finding new ways to surprise and delight our guests.
What is a signature experience at one of your properties that truly reflects your personal touch or leadership?
We’re currently working on creating a new spa, and many of the products, treatments, and experiences will reflect my personal touch – but I don’t want to give too much away just yet!
Can you share a moment when being a woman in this industry gave you a unique perspective or advantage in creating exceptional guest experiences?
We are currently working on a rebranding project, which is a direct reflection of my perspective. I’ve been deeply involved in shaping every element – from the color palette to the amenities and the overall guest experience. I believe that attention to detail and a thoughtful, intuitive approach can make all the difference in creating something truly special. It’s been incredibly rewarding to bring my vision to life, and I’m excited to share what we’ve been working on very soon.
What is the most valuable lesson you've learned as a female leader in luxury travel, and how has it shaped the way you do business?
I honestly don’t think that being a woman has influenced my leadership style – what makes our approach at the Hassler truly special is the dynamic partnership I share with my brother. Working together gives us a 50/50 balance of perspectives. I might propose an idea with a creative or intuitive angle, while he brings a more technical viewpoint to the table. This constant exchange allows us to challenge each other and ultimately reach the best solution for every situation. It’s this blend of different perspectives that makes our leadership stronger and helps us create something better than either of us could achieve alone.
