Introducing our New Property in Italy

How timely that we present to you this very special, very chic and brand new boutique hotel in Taormina, Sicily. We promise you, the White Lotus it is NOT.

Announcing Waterstone’s newest member: PALAZZO VECCHIO TAORMINA.

Located in the heart of Taormina's historical center and directly next to Palazzo Ciampoli (a beautifully restored 15th century palace), Palazzo Vecchio sits just steps away from Corso Umberto, Taormina's main street made famous for its plethora of designer shops and charming restaurants. Overlooking the Ionian sea, the property's high position within the town gives guests the gift of breathtaking views in every direction.

Open for just shy of a month, Palazzo Vecchio offers a stylish townhouse experience with only twelve accommodations, an elegant bar, an excellent restaurant serving refined local cuisine, a quaint spa and an expansive outdoor terrace. The passion project of Stefano Gegnacorsi, who has previously worked as the General Manager at a variety of Rocco Forte properties as well as the Belmond Grand Hotel Timeo and Villa Sant'Andrea, the palazzo has a strong design influence from the east, a reference to Sicily’s history of “hosting” visitors from afar.

Palazzo Vecchio is a welcomed expression of hospitality to those travelers who are searching for a smaller, more intimate environment. Perhaps travelers who are NOT looking for a White Lotus experience but rather prefer a sexy and stylish place to call “home; a place where you will feel wanted and embraced as soon as you arrive.

Welcome to Palazzo Vecchio, your new home in Taormina.

More information coming soon – both on Palazzo Vecchio's website and ours.
