At the Condor, you have exclusive use of the golf course for your entire stay, so you only play with the people you want to. This is Billionaire Golf at its finest!
You can ride horses on the estate and surrounding forests, take part in sustainable shooting and hunting through the ancient woods of Orleans, once the seat of the King of France and the hunting grounds of royalty. You can fly over the local area in a hot air balloon departing from the front lawn, cycle the estate, swim in the pool, have a massage and relax. Whatever you want.

TOP EXPERIENCES AT THE CONDOR
HOT AIR BALLOONING
Glide above the Loire Valley in your own private hot air balloon.
This experience departs from the front lawn of the château at morning or dusk. Appreciate the silence while flying over the beautiful Loire Valley with its magnificent landscapes rich with lush forests, vineyards and the last wild river in Europe, the Loire. The total excursion time is three hours with a flight time of approximately one hour (as the wind will take you where it wants). At landing, you'll be welcomed with a glass of Champagne and a certificate given by your pilot and his crew.
PRIVATE VINEYARD TOURS
Experience the best wine regions in the world.
With The Condor located in the Loire Valley some of the best wine regions in the world are within close proximity. Choose from the Sancerre or Pouilly-Fumé regions, or combine Pouilly-Fumé and Coteaux du Giennois or Sancerre and Menetou Salon. We will design an itinerary for your that includes wine tastings at multiple vineyards as well as a goat cheese tasting at a local farm.
HORSEBACK RIDING
Explore the French countryside via horseback.
Available to guests just a 20-minute drive from the château, the equestrian center can provide arena sessions for first-times, arena lessons, gentle hacks for the intermediate riders and cross-country instructional rides for those who have had an arena lesson previously. Alternatively, the equestrian experience can come to you. A unique opportunity for anyone who would like to experience the French countryside from horseback departing from the front of the château at The Condor.
CRUISE THE LOIRE RIVER
Cruise down the Loire River in an authentic flat-bottomed boat.
With your knowledgeable sailor, learn how these wooden sailing boats are built and how they have been used to carry goods along the river for centuries. Relax and view the beautiful and ethereal château along the waterway from your vantage point. Spot wildlife and birds, scenic villages and visit the hidden parts of the river that are inaccessible by car. Have a delightful lunch of local produce and delicacies on the boat or find a sandy shore to enjoy a picnic on in this charming tour.

GARRY O HANLON
Award-winning chef, broadcaster and columnist.
Originally from Ramelton, Ireland, Gary previously worked at The Olde Post restaurant at Cloverhill and the Galway Bay Hotel’s Lobster Pot Restaurant. Prior to returning to Ireland, Gary was head chef at Devlin’s Restaurant and Bar in Boston. Upon his return, Gary worked as Head Chef at Viewmount House where his repertoire of modern classic dishes earned the restaurant the title of “Best Restaurant in Ireland” by long established food writer Georgina Campbell. Featured in a number of popular TV series including Head Chef and MasterChef, Gary has written as a columnist for The Irish Times Magazine and has authored an award-winning book.
